Craft Entrepreneurship
Craft Entrepreneurship is an educational program that equips creative people in underserved communities with the knowledge and skills to start Etsy businesses and earn supplemental income through their craft.
We partner with organizations that seek to empower lower income individuals through creative and interactive programming. Organizations can offer our curriculum to students with craft and/or manufacturing skills, and who would benefit from support in learning to apply their talents to an entrepreneurial endeavor.
Past successes from this program have shown that in-depth education and a hands-on experience provide for the best outcomes. Our curriculum is designed to be taught in-person by experienced, local Etsy sellers who are trained and prepared for the classroom. Participants put their learning directly into action by starting and running an Etsy shop, and are able to practice strategies for success across a variety of selling environments.
“I was in search of a way to supplement my income, and to find that joy and fulfillment I’ve always searched for. Doing something on my own, and that I really enjoy and love doing, is what I’ve always ultimately wanted.” — Craft Entrepreneurship Graduate
This program has brought a meaningful impact to communities since 2013, and we are excited to revamp the curriculum to reach many more cities. For the time being, we are not on boarding new partners into the Craft Entrepreneurship Program.
